Looking for a fun and relaxing way to experience the Colorado Springs and Royal Gorge region? Spend an afternoon kicking back with your loved ones at some of our local Nouveau Colorado beverage tasting rooms, sampling locally-crafted hard ciders or wines, and being transported between locations in a unique vintage trolley.
Your tasting tour starts at the Coyote’s Coffee Den, a local favorite in Penrose, located in Fremont County just 30 minutes south of Colorado Springs, and 20 minutes east of Cañon City. This region of Colorado is a less-crowded hidden gem of our beautiful state, and the home of the Arkansas River, where you can experience thrilling whitewater rafting, scenic off-road Rocky Mountain tours, and many more outdoor adventures. During the last decade, Fremont County has also developed into a highly-regarded craft cider, wine and mead production area, with new tasting rooms popping up regularly. As this “banana belt” region receives an abundance of warm sunshine year-round, it is perfectly suited for growing apples, grapes and other fruit crops the distillers need.
Once your group has arrived at Coyote’s Coffee Den, you’ll board our vintage trolley and head out on your tour, where you will have an opportunity to see and learn about the manufacturing process of each tasting room, sample the unique flavors each offers, and relax with your family and friends. Like what you tried? You can support our local growers and distillers by purchasing your favorite beverages on site to take home as a souvenir!
Being transported in our classic trolley from stop to stop means you won’t have to worry about driving, getting lost, or picking the best tasting rooms to visit, as we have already selected the best ones for you. Your job is to simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the experience of this 3-4 hour small group tour. Want to know more about this fun experience? Read on for details below.
