The jeep tours team in Colorado Springs, CO

About the Tours

At Colorado Jeep Tours we pride ourselves on providing high quality, scenic, and informative jeep tours and vacation packages. Our guided off-road tours offer a variety of information including history, geology, and paleontology while traveling on some of the most scenic roads and trails in the state. Our tours offer a fun and interesting way to see and learn about Colorado.

Each tour has its own unique scenery. Some take you along the rim of the famous Royal Gorge, while others explore the red stone monoliths that make up Red Canyon Park. Colorado Jeep Tours also can take you along the Gold Belt through the late 1800’s mining districts of Cripple Creek and Victor. All of our tours are very scenic and accommodate most ages/abilities.

Our Custom Jeeps

Our customized open-air jeeps are modified with your comfort in mind. We use air bag suspensions to smooth out the ride and thick cushion seats so you can view the spectacular scenery and wildlife that Colorado has to offer without worrying about the bumpy ride.

Half & Full Day Jeep Tours

When selecting a tour, consider everyone in your group, their ages, attention span, what they want to see, and the length of the tour. We stop fairly often (especially on longer tours) to let you stretch your legs, admire the views, and take pictures. All of our tours are incredibly scenic and can be done by almost anyone. Royal Gorge 1/2 and Full Day jeep tours (3.5+ hours in duration) include a FREE admission ticket to the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park. See the orange section below for details.

HALF DAY TOURS:

Royal Gorge 1/2 Day, our most popular 1/2 day tour, includes more advanced trails and steep climbs. This is the longer of the two half day tours. You’ll climb to the top of Fremont Peak for amazing views and see dinosaur tracks. This tour includes vertical views down into the world-famous Royal Gorge and drives over the Royal Gorge Bridge! Departs twice daily at 8:30am, 1pm, plus a 5pm departure in summer. Tour time: Approx 3.5 hours.

Red Canyon 1/2 Day is a bit steeper, with a rougher road than the Royal Gorge. It includes a beautiful drive through the Fountain Formation in Red Canyon Park, and climbs an incline to Overlook Arch. To see the arch, you’ll need to be able to walk a couple hundred feet on a rocky path. You’ll also see Indian petroglyphs and dinosaur tracks. Departs twice daily at 8:30am, 1pm, plus a 5pm departure in summer. Tour time: Approx 3 hours.

FULL DAY TOURS:

Full Day Royal Gorge is a combination of the Royal Gorge AND Red Canyon tours with lunch included. You will do a half day loop, enjoy lunch in historic downtown Canon City, then head back out for the second half of your tour. Departs once daily, year-round, at 8:30amTour time: Approx 7- 8 hours including lunch.

Gold Belt, also known as the Fall Foliage Tour, is the least rough of our tours. It visits the historic gold mining towns of Cripple Creek and Victor, is rich in history, amazing high mountain scenery, goes over unique bridges and through old train tunnels, and has plenty of pines and aspens along the way. It has the greatest elevation change, topping out at 10,500 feet. and covers the most miles. Due to the elevation, be prepared with a light jacket, even in summer. This tour includes lunch in Victor, CO. Departs once daily, year-round (weather permitting at 10,000 feet!) at 9am. Tour time: Approx 6 – 7 hours including lunch.

EVENING TOURS:

Looking for something to do in the evening in the summer when it’s cooler? Take a 3.5 hour Royal Gorge or 3 hour Red Canyon jeep tour. Both depart at 5pm in the summer season. See the BOOK NOW button for available dates.
